The Play «Pygmalion, or The Story of a Bet»
The premiere of the play took place on July 18, 2013.
Professor of phonetics, Mr. Higgins, picks up a poor flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, practically off the street. With a smirk, he observes the girl’s speech manners and behavior. He makes a bet with his friend Colonel Pickering — in a month he must turn Eliza into a real lady and introduce her to high society. But how will such experiments with her fate turn out for the flower girl?
Vladimir Chigishev’s play is a brilliant performance by the actors, witty dialogues, and an emotional plot: funny, touching, and intriguing.
