New Year's Concert by the «Choir Workshop» Project
The concert is dedicated to the theme of the New Year in Russian musical culture. Amateur choirs, led by professional choirmasters, will perform songs by Soviet and contemporary composers, reflecting the atmosphere of a family holiday, warmth, and the unity of generations.
The program includes the following songs: «The January Blizzard Rings», «Snowflake» (from the film «Wizards»), «And the Snow Comes», «Troika» (from the film «Wizards»), «Chyrshy-Chyrshy» («Spruce-Spruce»), «f there was no winter», «Kyz Kyngyrau Monnary» («Melodies of Copper Bells»), “No one will be home” (from the film “The Irony of Fate, “), and other works.
Each composition is accompanied by a story about its origin, composer, and historical and cultural context, allowing listeners to recall and rethink the cultural images of winter holidays in Russian art. The concert aims to strengthen the continuity of generations and respect for national musical traditions.
Artistic Director and Stage Director:
Viktor Golumbevsky — musician, choirmaster, graduate of the Kazan State Conservatory named after N. G. Zhiganov, laureate of the International Competition and Review of Senior Students of the Conducting and Choral Departments of Professional Educational Institutions, founder of the “Choir Workshop” project.
Project Choirmasters:
Kirill Kosogorov — graduate of the Kazan State Conservatory named after N. G. Zhiganov, choirmaster, laureate of the International Competition and Review of Senior Students of the Conducting and Choral Departments of Professional Educational Institutions, author of vocal arrangements of contemporary music for female choirs.
Azalia Mennibaeva - the choirmaster of the Tatar choir, a laureate of national folk music competitions, a researcher of Tatar folklore, and the author of modern arrangements of folk songs.
