«Jazz Before Christmas» Concert

Kazan has been a jazz hub since Soviet times. Oleg Lundstrem performed here, and Igor Ziser performed at the «Moskovsky» Cultural Center (formerly the «Uritsky» Cultural Center), and the “Jazz Before Christmas” concerts continue this tradition.
The concert will feature Andrew McFadden, a jazz vocalist from New York. A frequent participant in music programs on Russian television, Andrew is a true citizen of the world, whose creative career is impressive: he has toured more than twenty countries and performed on six continents, including the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa. His repertoire includes jazz, blues, rock, and soul.
The concert will also feature Lilia Chugunova (Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan), the “Cape Town” band, and the Natalia Zheleznykh Quartet.
The concert program will include New Year's jazz and Soviet classics: works by George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, António Carlos Jobim, Alexander Tsfasman, Mikael Tariverdiev, Alexander Eshpai, and others.
