«Chicago» Musical

The world premiere of the musical was in 1975 and to this day «Chicago» is still performed in different productions, which makes it the longest-running Broadway musical. In 1996, «Chicago» was awarded the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, Best Direction, Best Choreography. In 2002, the musical debuted in Russia.
A two-act musical comedy based on a libretto by Fred Webb and Bob Fosse, composer John Kander tells the story of a trial that two vaudeville artists (a beginner, and an experienced one) go through. Complex choreography, built on elements of foxtrot, Charleston and tango, bright, memorable musical material, and live vocals are the features of this performance.
The audience will be immersed in the atmosphere of the 20s of the 20th century, the heyday of crime and corruption in America.
The main character, aspiring singer Roxie Hart, commits a crime and is sent to prison to await trial. The evidence is obvious, her case is hopeless. The only chance for salvation is to convince the public (and therefore the jury) of her innocence. Only one person can pull off such a grandiose trick - Billy Flynn, the best criminal lawyer in the city, who has never lost a case.
This is an incredibly stylish production of the legendary musical, which can be described in three words: chic, shock and shine!
