On June 26, a lecture by Lev Pereulkov «Using the photography in contemporary art» was held at the Moskovsky Cultural Center.

At the meeting, the artist Lev Pereulkov told about the meaning of photography for contemporary art as a medium. He explained the effect of a photograph on a viewer and its importance for the author. By observing paintings and concept projects visitors learned how artists retouched, appropriated, collated and used pictures. They discussed various aspects: why photographers work in collaboration with reality, how pictures deceive and form historical memory, why people still use them.
